Little Treasures Pet Cremation was founded by avid animal lovers, Aaron and Tara.
'For as long as we can remember, we have expressed an overwhelming passion for all animals and knew we wanted to start a business in the pet industry—we just didn’t know what area to focus on.'
However, with the recent passing of our beloved Rottweiler, George, and going through varying degrees of grief, we made the decision to focus on helping other animal owners with their raw and sometimes overwhelming journey of losing a pet.
We understand that our precious pets are important members of our family and they deserve a dignified and compassionate final farewell.

Aaron spent his younger years living on the Sunshine Coast and returned to New Zealand with his family when he was 8-years-old.
He was then raised on a dairy farm in the South Island, having hands-on experience on a daily basis with a range of animals such as sheep, bulls, cattle, rabbits and chickens.
This is where Aaron’s love for animals and their welfare began. Aaron and his family have also owned a number of cats and dogs over the years including, Labradors, Border Collies, English Collies, tabby cats and recent beloved Rottweiler, George.
About Tara
Tara grew up in Sydney and has always been passionate about animals and their welfare along with living a holistic life. After moving to New Zealand in her adult years, she became an active supporter and volunteer at numerous SPCA centres (The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
Tara studied a Diploma in Natural Medicine and has used a lot of holistic modalities to help treat injured & mistreated animals.
Whilst volunteering at numerous SPCA centres, we advocated on behalf of animals through education. It was our vision to ensure all animals received the love and respect that they deserve.

How Do I Know I will Only Be Getting My Pets Ashes When Cremating?
- Little Treasures Pet Cremation is family owned and operated. Only Aaron & myself will be conducting the entire process from collection to delivery. Therefore, we are able to offer our personal guarantee that you will only receive your pets ashes. -Tara
- What happens if my vet is suggesting another pet crematorium? You just need to let the staff know that you would like to use Little Treasures which is a local, family run business based in Caloundra. A lot of vets have agreements with corporate pet crematoriums which are based in Brisbane, Logan and even as far as the Gold Coast. This means that your furbaby is collected in a truck and transported up to 2.5 hours away for a cremation as opposed to using a local business who is centrally based on the Sunshine Coast & within 20 minutes of most local vets.
- Can I view my furbaby once it has passed and come into the care of Little Treasures? Yes. Little Treasures has a purpose built Farewell Room that you can arrange a viewing in business hours. We try and accomodate most requests but due to some situations not all viewings can take place. Please discuss this personally with Tara. 0410 268 272
- Do you offer a door to door service? Yes. We can arrange to come to your home to collect your angel in our purposely designed car or collect from any veterinary clinic on the Sunshine Coast.
- How long does the process take? Our processes take approximately 7 business days from package confirmation.
- What payment options do you offer? We offer ZipPay payment plan, Vet Pay, Credit Card, Direct Transfer, Cash. Please speak to Tara directly regarding your situation if these options don't suit.
- Can I come down to Little Treasures to choose my package personally? Yes. Our showroom displays our large range of urns and other memorial options. An appointment must be made directly with Tara 0410 268 272.
- Why should I choose Little Treasures Pet Cremation? Tara & Aaron started Little Treasures after they lost George their beloved Rottweiler and know exactly what you are going through because they have also been in your position. You will only be dealing with Tara the owner not a call centre. Aaron will be conducting the individual cremations of your angel and Tara will then personally return your baby.
